Bealach na Ba
Very tired tonight. We had another big day and a lot of driving. There was very little time during our survey to mess about with the camera and another CRSS was taken on the way home, coming back over the hill from Applecross.
This was not my planned choice of shot. I had hoped to get an image looking back down the pass towards Kishorn with the fantastic road geometry unfolding down the hillside. However when I stopped there my tripod was taking off in the wind and my high ISO hand held shots were rubbish as the lens filled up with driving rain instantly. I may stick one on the blipfolio though I have found this painfully slow to upload to.
This is from near to top of the pass looking west and with the wind and rain in my back. The fact that I was having to hold the tripod down in the roaring wind, and the vibration was clearly visible in the viewfinder, suggests that any theoretical benefit was lost.
There is huge accumulation of desk stuff to work through tomorrow.
