Please - Tame Me!

I've mentioned before that this is my favourite book and I command all of you to read it; it is World Book Day after all! If you read one book today, this year, ever... make it this one. You won't be sorry, and I am yet to find someone who on reading it, doesn't love it. It contains so many beautiful quotes and I really enjoy the interactions between The Little Prince and the other characters.

My favourite of these characters is the fox. The way he sees the world reminds me of my own view of it. He understands the importance if strong bonds (establishing ties), he appreciates the beauty in the world and he knows that what matters, what is essential in fact, cannot be seen. Not by the eyes at any rate and one of my favourite of all quotes (from anywhere) explains this: " It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." Such wisdom from one so foxy.

This copy is from Mexico and I found it at a market in Barcelona. It smells lovely and the cover illustrations are quite unlike those on other copies I have of the book. I love how it stands out from the rest without even realising.
