An old familiar

I didn't realize quite how anxious I am about this surgery, but I didn't manage to get myself away from home today, just waiting for the phone call from the doctor - which hasn't come.  I have so many questions I want to ask about recovery from the surgery and what limitations it will place on my acitivities.  I really thought she would call today.

So I spent the day straightening up for tomorrow's visit from my friend Nancy and attempting to play with Sylvie, who is in a sluggish mood.  She showed absolutely no interest in the canned food I put out for her, so I'm going to return the unopened ones and just see how it goes.

At sunset I had a look out the window and spotted Mount Rainier there in the distance.
