Thrilled

For the first time in a long time I have my own CD player. I’m super pleased with the sound quality.

MrH dismantled the last CD player and put it in the loft, when I was distracted, as he felt it was taking up too much room (we live in a very small house and space is limited). I’ve really missed it. The sounds quality was pretty mediocre to be honest so this is an upgrade.

MrH has lots of his own music equipment and speakers and he doesn’t understand why I won’t just use that and play music by asking Alexa or Google without using a physical CD. There’s something I like about my CDs and I have a lot of quirky CDs by little known artists. Everyone’s different I guess but I like my music and I feel better with it back in my life sounding good.

In other news, after a stressful and busy day, I’ve been watching very recent videos of what was ‘The Empire’ in Blackpool being demolished over the last few days. A bit sad to see. Apparently Tom Jones played there once as he signed a contract for a gig just before he hit the big time and the owners held him to perform the gig. I’ll have to ask my Dad if he performed there as he was part of the busy touring music scene in the ‘60’s and played in a couple of different groups. It’s so strange seeing all his promo photos for the group- looks like a few lifetimes ago.

My postal lateral flow tests arrived today (a day after I ordered them) very pleased about that as it saves going to the Royal Agricultural University to have them done twice a week.
