Bit more reading done today and project meeting went well. Even have Nico from the zoo on board. I've worked with him over the last couple of summers so its pretty exciting having him helping out.
So I found out today that I had been offered a PhD place, but I didn't get the studentship. This means I need to find another way to fund myself (from where, my supervisor was unsure) or else I don't get to do the project.
It feels nice knowing I got a place, but maybe this is my opportunity to do something completely different for a bit, and I can apply again in a few years. Don't know what I'll do mind, but as long as it doesn't involve reading endless papers and being sat in front of a computer all day, I won't mind!
