FREE PARKING – NOT??!!!

Cornwall Council has introduced a 'free parking' scheme into all of it's car parks until the 17th May 2021. Yay! It's to encourage people back into the towns to do shopping??!! ALL of Cornwall Council Car Parks are advertised as being FREE until the 17th May...................

….............So off we went to Perranporth today and parked in a 'Council Car Park'. We actually have a 'secret' place in Perranporth where we usually park, but because ALL the 'Cornish Council Car Parks' are FREE, we decided to park in one....................

Perranporth is the most fabulous beach ever. Just look how long it is when the tide is out. I walked all the way along to the end. And then I walked all the way back. That took us about 2 hours. I had such a lovely time.

I found a tennis ball as soon as we got onto the beach and I carried it for more than an hour but then on our return route I spotted little birds that needed chasing. I ran and ran and ran after them and somehow I dropped the ball, that I'd carried for more than an hour. And I didn't catch the little birds either.

After two hours we returned to the car, 'in the FREE car park' and drove out.............................

On the route out Ann noticed a sign, that she hadn't seen when we drove in..........................

Can't remember the exact wording, but it was somewhere along the lines of.............
'Normal car parking charges are in place – Perranporth Council'.

….................Fortunately we didn't have a parking ticket on our car. But now Ann is worrying that there's CCTV there and by the time we get home to Edinburgh there'll be a big fat fine waiting for us.

Having said that..................... the sign on the way out was just a laminated bit of card?!! Not exactly something the council would have done then??!! I'm guessing we should have taken a photo but we didn't.
