The lights were on but no-one was at home. Or at least not that many as by the time we reached Hampstead Heath and the fair it was closing down. Closing down and packing up for good until the next time it rolls into town.
I knew I had to go visit and try out my new camera. Haven't really done a lot of night time shooting either and I knew I had to get a grip with the shutter speed and aperture and iso. I always like to shoot on manual.
I didn't do too badly.
The fair was practically deserted which gave this eerie feel to the place but I was happy to capture this after hours mood.
Perhaps the fairground is an easy assignment. The lights, the fun, the colours, the faces, the joy.
But I know it's one of those trips that we all have to take with our cameras at least once in our lives.
