Headed out of the door just after 8 am to make the most of the sunny morning. However it was really cold so Jorgie and I marched along hardly pausing until we got to the abandoned airfield.
It’s this area of heathland with extensive views, where I stalked a cuckoo last year.
Not surprisingly there has been no sign of one yet.
Jorgie looks forward to this part of our walk as she can charge up and down like a loon which gives me a chance to take a couple of shots.
I loved the little fluffy clouds collecting over the distant hills.
Later I met up with a friend for an alfresco lunch at my favourite nursery. The sun was still shining but it was still cold
