First day of Ramadan

Went driving around looking for the canons this afternoon.  
There are 3 of them at different locations.  Will be visiting all three soon.
This one has the Twin Towers in the background.  
Ramadan is a really quiet time here in the sandpit, and now with Covid it is even quieter.  All restaurants and fast food places are closed during the day and only open in the evening once the sun has set and fasting has ended for the day.  
We are not allowed to eat or drink in public during the fasting hours either, can get fined or even end up in jail. 

Corona Virus Update
Bahrain recorded 1,060 new cases, 4 fatalities and 1,209 recoveries today

A QUARTER of a million people in Bahrain have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine and completed the ideal two-week period for immunity development, 

More than 136.36 million people have been reported to be infected by Covid-19 globally and 3,080,701 have died.
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The surging Covid-19 outbreak in Brazil is increasingly affecting younger people, with hospital data showing that last month the majority of those in intensive care were aged 40 or younger, 
Brazil is currently the global epicentre of the Covid-19 pandemic, with daily deaths last week surpassing 4,000.  More than 350,000 people have been killed by the coronavirus in Brazil, the world's second-highest death toll behind only the United States.

Thailand reported 1,335 new Covid-19 cases, the biggest daily rise since the start of the pandemic
The country's total caseload is now at 35,910 and deaths at 97.
