Picnic by the River Ribble

Another day of glorious sunshine, it’s hard to believe although it was like this in April last year too .

We drive to a play area in Ribchester , about half an hour away and then picnicked by the river . LBB ran round and round , the space , the fun equipment, other children. He has never played with other children and was quite unsure at first . I could have wept for him and all those others isolated from their peers .

I felt uneasy being around other people having been in lockdown for so long , Blackburn has never really reopened .

Got to go , our little charge has woken up , only a short nap today ! Xxx
