Happy Birthday, Mom!

Dear Diary,

Today would have been Mom's 99th birthday and it is also the day I begin my 8th year of posting a photo a day.  I colorized this photo of her taken in 1941, the summer before she married Dad.  She was just 19 years old.  I've added a photo of her at 16 taken by her brother.  He must have been taking a photography course at college as it is printed on thin paper and is 8X10.  It was folded and torn and very dark.  It took some time to "resurrect" it.  The adventure through the lens continues!
