Nature's miniature world..

We did our forthnightly volunteer work out at Lake Tikitapu this morning. There was a bit of debris on the track after recent heavy rain but the moisture and warm temperatures are also creating perfect conditions for fungi.  We didn't have time today to go looking for them but we did notice this delightful miniature world behind a tree where we had some things hidden. The largest of these fungi would be no half the size of my little fingernail I didn't see the tiny snail until I saw the photo on the screen.
