A Lot of Fiddling
Ive been hanging out with the boy for the last few days whilst his mum is at work (Easter Holidays)....we have had a wonderful time...yesterday he said that he had the best day ever......and it was just a simple day but boy did it make my heart go fuzzy and funny.
This morning we got out in the garden to do some damage control after all the torrential rain we've had and my back was feeling a bit up to it.........but now the garden looks great but alas again I feel like a question mark. Anyway that kid has been a good help mostly even though his fudge off of the jobs was so transparent....can't blame him for trying.
It was so nice to get my light box out this afternoon..we sat and chatted as I snapped away and fiddled around with different lighting....(I think I got some cool shots)....and especially liked the light coming from the bottom back with the top one turned off or very low. (I really hope that before I get too old he will want me to seriously teach him some photography so we can choof off for some digi adventures).
Mum had a procedure at the horsepiddle yesterday but she is absolutely fine now and is off to play poker tonight....that makes me happy....it's funny that my 90 year old Mum has much more of a social life that me......go figure.
Anyway this rose...so beautiful in its decay stage...some of the petals we so thin and translucent the light shone through and the texture oh so yummy. I fiddled around with it quite a bit and had al sorts of things happening...but...all of that got thrown out the window and I needed to come back to something simple....I think she is beautiful enough to stand alone with very little adornment.
