The Sound of Your Voice

My Dear Princess, Loulou and Fellows,

Four things happened today.

Caro and me took Punky and Jasper to the vet for their post-op check-up. They are both doing very well, but you wouldn't know it from the amount of fuss they made.

Punky hid in the spare room afterward. But I sneaked in and got this picture of him.

Thing two was that Caro's friend Nadia got an offer to buy her online domain name - NadiaMarie.com. Some American company wanted to buy it for a "five figure sum".

But Nadia said no. It is her business name and so, just no.

"I am perturbed by this, very perturbed," said Feefs. She's been sending Caro messages all day about it.

"That's just like... money... that's just... I am really very perturbed. You must convince her."

Feefs takes money seriously. But not as seriously as Nadia takes her name. Caro, meanwhile, is thinking of registering "CarolineJane.com" on the off chance Americans will give HER money.

Thing three was that Gromit met Caro. Sort of. We had a Teams chat today and Gromit wanted to know how Dave was doing because cats are all I talk about to all of you. I even showed her a text from Caro, which you can read in the extras.

So Gromit wanted to know if there were any more cats or hedgehogs in our garage overnight. I hadn't actually seen Dave today and told Gromit this.

"I've seen him," muttered Caro from her end of the couch. I don't think she knew what land-mine she had just stepped on.

"IS CARO THERE? OH MY GOD TURN YOUR LAPTOP AROUND I WANT TO TALK TO THE PRETTY LADY."

(I have shown Gromit pictures of Caro before and she thinks Caro is "OH MY GOD SHE'S GORGEOUS HOW DID YOU MANAGE THAT?")

Caro was like a rabbit in headlights. But ten minutes of cat and chicken chat later they seemed like mates.

It was sort of weird.

So it was a nice day, and an even better evening when Princess Normal called for a quick chat. I hadn't realised how much I missed the sound of your voice, Princess. Which is weird because I have been thinking a lot about you lately.

And I've missed seeing you. When all this madness is over, I am so coming back to the UK and taking you to the pub.

xxxx
