Ugh...Today I am really fed up of post illness tantrums. She's had at least two a day since Sunday. It's utterly draining.

Today she also fell out of the shower...She had come in to join me and after having a fun time she leaned on the door and just as I went to warn her it gave way and she fell out. She was really upset and I only realised after she had caught her head on the plastic edge of the door as she fell. It looks quite sore. We sat with some frozen peas on it for a while. Some of the peas kept escaping out of the bag and Amelie found it rather amusing.

This afternoon we walked up to Waitrose and she chose her birthday cake. First time in 3 years we have purchased a birthday cake! I didn't plan to make one this year as I presumed I would either be in labour or have a newborn....as it stands I am just overdue and grumpy. So she chose a pink fairy princess cake, of course.

Two afternoon tantrums later she is well and truly ready for bed...and so am I.
