Project 365 day 104: sheep in the Downs

Another bright but cold day. I walked round the garden and orchard at teatime, and watched the lambs in the neighbouring field. They watched me watching them until their mother intervened. Casper cat accompanied me, posing nicely on trees, then hung around the deck with me while I potted the rest of the tomato plants from my neighbour and moved them into the house. They will be in the way, as they are already quite large, but the very low overnight temperatures appear to have killed one of the six plants in the unheated greenhouse, so I don't want to take risks with the rest.

I had a good chat with a friend from Durham on Zoom this evening. Since we moved to Kent nearly eight years ago, she has generally visited for a day or two a couple of times a year; Zoom wasn't quite the same as chatting over a meal, but it was good enough to make us resolve to do it much more often.
