Martin Mere
Wednesday 14th April 2021
I took the afternoon off as I had a ticket, along with my bubble friend, to Martin Mere which opened on Monday. We couldn't wait to go. We started by having lunch at the village farm cafe which has done a great job in created outdoor pods to provide eating areas that are separated. We wanted to support a local business.
By the time we went to Martin Mere the sun had gone in and there was a black cloud above. Ten minutes later there was a hail storm but thankfully it didn't last long and eventually the sun came out again.
Feeding of the ducks/geese is not allowed at the moment as there is bird flu in the country. The whole place was very quiet, a lot less waterfowl around and it seemed strange not having them walking over the paths. Still, it was wonderful to be back visiting somewhere different. A very enjoyable afternoon.
For some reason I didn't do too well photography wise. I did like the reflections on this one though.
