Viola Odorata...

...or Sweet Violet, which is coming into bloom right now. I see big patches of them mixed in with the grass in a field I walk alongside, as well as in some of the lawns I pass while out strolling around. They grow very close to the ground & are supposed to have a very pleasant smell, & while I DID have my camera very low to take this, I didn't lean over to take in the scent, as I had visions of face-planting right onto the ground. Thanks to Miranda for hosting her WildflowerWeek challenge. Tom had a great nights' sleep last night and is feeling good this morning. He ate a normal-sized breakfast today, so his appetite seems to be improving little by little too. All good. :)
