Sacrificial Stone Revisited
Way back in February, the 4th to be exact, I blipped a sacrificial stone, or at least what was advertised as such locally. Since it was covered in snow at the time we couldn't actually see it at the time but today all was quite different.
You should be able to make out several shallow depressions or cups which have been made in it for the holding of small offerings. I note that one worshipper has placed a 5 cent coin in one and another less reverent visitor placed only a small pebble. Others, like myself, were too mean for even that. This site is classed as a National Antiquity and woe betide anyone causing damage to something which has been there certainly for a thousand years. Probably more.
