Sunrise 6.30am
Looking toward Milngavie and the Campsie Hills from North Baljaffray, Bearsden.
The local farmer released his cattle from their byre yesterday for the first time. They must have spent a pretty cold night as quite a frost was visible on the grass at dawn as the golden misty morning light obliquely illuminated the field. In the distance the water of Milngavie reservoir shimmers as the cattle and their little calves stand up and stretch their legs.
Extras: a longer telephoto shot with the telephone mast clearly visible.
Also aspects on the landscape further east as mist creates layers of contrast.
