A sad day.

All my life he has been there and it is strange now that he has gone. 

But what a life! He leaves some amazing legacies , and has helped so may young people over his many years. The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme had made a profound impact on many young people and will continue to do so. He also instigated the Prince Philip Mounted Games for children and I can remember taking part in these many years ago!!

I very much feel for the Queen who will feel this loss deeply. It will leave a huge hole in many lives.
