How do you...
...make trees?
This was just one of many interesting questions from my class today. After the joiner/carpenter wasn't able to visit on Tuesday we rearranged for him to come today. The children were fascinated by his skills and when he'd finished demonstrating they had plenty to ask/tell him including:
"How do you make trees? Why is wood brown? Do you get splinters? Do you drive to Africa to get the wood?" and then random statements; "I live in St. Ives," "My Daddy is in the rowing club," and "I'm having a party tomorrow."
Here one of the children is helping to make window frame.
I was hoping to take a World Book Day related Blip as we had a book exchange in class today, which was equally exciting as the visitor. However I didn't get chance to take many photos.
I'm off to my friends in a bit (who I was supposed to see yesterday) as I'm feeling much better than yesterday :-)
