Thirsty

I had a doctor's appointment this AM and so took the opportunity to drive via back roads. For those new to my journal, I often find my subjects by driving down back roads on my way to work and this one was no exception.

I noticed this herd of cows and decided to check them out. A quick climb up a stone wall gave the best perspective. The animals were happily eating grass and eyed me wearily. I took numerous shots of them staring at me (I wonder what they were thinking. I don't think that blippers are normally part of their crowd!) and this was my favorite. He just wandered over to take a sip of water.

I love the reflection of the cow and trees in the water. The soft concentric rings in the water and the gentle distortions of the reflection are also interesting

The poor cow had a rather unsightly earring (ear tage is probably the better term) with the number 73 which I removed via some clone stamp work. I also increased the saturation a touch.
