Holes in stones

Headed north but decided to forsake the A9 for a route less busy.

We've meant to stop at the Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay for years and were glad that we finally got round to it. An excellent place to visit.

As well as the exhibition and guided tour of the crannog reconstruction we were shown various iron age skills such as drilling holes in stones, grinding wheat and spinning wool.

We also got to try our hand at making fire. About which all I can say is if we were left in charge of cooking dinner you would have been having salad!
