Forged For Strength

Victory V are liquorice-flavoured lozenges. Originally manufactured in Nelson, Lancashire, they contained Ether, Liquorice and Chloroform - and were essential for a cough or a sore throat.
Still available, but they no longer contain Chloroform or Ether. However, their scent and flavour is still vividly reminiscent of the original - presumably all recreated via artificial means to preserve the original flavour. 
I always wondered how they were made with their unique shape and logos - now I know.
