MonoMonday: "Wacky"
Random_angel's granddaughter's choice for today's MM challenge is "Wacky".
As usual my Editor came to my rescue with an idea. You can't get much more wacky than Inspector Gadget, which our lads used to love as an animated children's tv series (OK, we admit, we loved it too!). It began in 1983 (a year before our Son#1 was born) but was shown in repeats over several years; since then there've been several spin-offs including video games and films.
In case you've somehow missed coming across the Inspector, I can't do better than quote Wikipedia: "Gadget is a cyborg (part man, part machine) with thousands of high-tech gadgets installed in his body. Gadget is powerful, lovable, caring, and protective, and loyal to his career as a lawman, but he is also dim-witted, clueless, incompetent, and gullible...he has a knack of inadvertently saving the day, usually without realizing he is doing so". If he wasn't tall enough to reach something, he'd say "Go go Gadget, legs!" and his legs would lengthen (as seen in the photos here) or "Go go Gadget, arms!" and they would extend. Similarly with his neck, etc.
My Editor is busy sorting through lots of the kids rubbish lovely old toys so she recently re-found these models of the Inspector. Blip done!
