Dob Park Bridge
Today we met some friends for a lovely wander up the Washburn Valley. We explored an area we are not familiar with, even though it is only a few miles from home.
This is the ancient packhorse bridge over the River Washburn at Dob Park. As you can see, it was a glorious spring day, although we had to scrape the ice off the car windscreen first thing this morning.
Lunch was on a grassy bank further up the valley just below Swinsty reservoir. Last time I was up there on my bike, the road across the lower dam was closed due to major works being undertaken, although I could only see two cranes towering above the trees. Today's extra shows what is going on. It looks like some serious stuff.
