Oh to be in Scotland Now that April’s There
Sitting inside looking out at the Meadows bathed in sunshine with people sitting on the grass, I could be fooled into thinking it was high summer. In fact it is 8°, feeling like 7° and the air is distinctly chilly. I shall continue admiring the sunshine from inside.
I had a walk down to the bike shop at Canonmills this morning , a walk that is all downhill through the leafy New Town. On the way home which naturally is all uphill, I encountered Daughter #1 who was working behind scenes at the gallery in Dundas Street. It has been shut to the public since last December but with online transactions there is work involved in dispatching paintings. She made me a cup of tea to speed me on my way.
Further up the hill at Princes Street, the Gardens were looking particularly lovely in the spring sunshine and they have been rewarded with today’s blip.
