Eat With A Runcible Spoon
I have a bowl of Qunices to do something with apart from photograph. I had a search on the internet and have found a recipe for quince paste which seemed like it would work. After being boiled until soft they are then pureed and with the same weight of sugar are put in a slow cooker for 6 hours. in theory it shouldn't burn on the bottom. In the extra you can see it turning ruby red. I'll let you know tomorrow if it has set into a paste that is yummy with cheese on a cracker. I am also going to poach some in the oven. The last thing will be make quince jelly.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,’
The Owl and The pussycat.
