Cricket Cancelled

It was a shock to wake up this morning and see so much snow on the hills. I was soon out enjoying an unexpectedly surreal start to the day.

Yesterday's cricket match was played through without snow interruption, although there were showers of white fluffy stuff that stopped play in the first county fixture at Headingley. Forrest picked up some useful runs and wickets.

Today's cricket was, unsurprisingly, called off, although, actually, they could have got a game in. All this snow had completely disappeared by lunchtime. The sun felt warm in the afternoon - in between the occasional mini-blizzard.
