Lochan na h-Earba
We had less chores today and took the opportunity to go into the Ardverikie wilderness. We had the luxury of a coffee break once at the loch. It was pretty cool feeling in the breeze but the sunshine had the white summits gleaming. I have seen LnE higher than this but there still wasn't much beach on show. The dogs had great fun.
On the way back Mrs SJR announced she was feeling quite low in energy ("wading in treacle") and she was very pleased to get back to the pickup and just have a seat. I think she is responding to the jag in the same way as myself.
One of the extras is of the cliff face on Binnein Shuas known as the Ardverikie Wall. Lower down on the walk we could see the Badenoch Wall on the north side of the Glen Spean valley (it really is a more conventional dry stone wall), cutting a route up a mountain shoulder, more conspicuous today because of the snow.
