Beach walk

The highlight of our day, and not what we had planned, but the weather was so odd, we didn't get to the allotment. In the end we just said 'let's go down the beach'. Just Jon and I. We parked at West Runton in the free car park by the road, and walked down the road to the sea. A minor accident when I slipped on an algea covered rock and landed on my back as I tried to step down onto the beach, but luckily nothing broken, just green trousers.

We walked along the beach through more spells of rain, hail, snow and sun, eventually coming off the beach at East Runton. It was the first time we have walked that far along the beach. We walked back to West Runton along the road. In all we were out for 2 hours.

I had prepared a curry in the morning and even made onion bahjis and sweet potato pakora. So not much to do to have dinner on the table at about 6. Now I am feeling really tired from the walk, and have an ache in my elbow and wrist where I jarred it in the fall, so I think a hot bath is looking appealing!
