Railway in a snowstorm
F and I went for a walk around Oswestry this morning. It was cold with regular snow showers and sunny spells so very changeable.
We went to a little town pond and watched a corvid battle going on in the tall trees nearby. It looked as if a crow was trying to predate a magpie nest so there was a lot of shrieking and flying at each other. It wasn't easy to see but it looked as though the magpies suceeded in sending it off. As all the crow family have good memories it will probably be back.
The photo is of the back of the Cambrian Heritage Railway in a snow shower. The impressive station building has been restored and work continues on the tracks. There's information here. There were no volunteers working today, probably due to the pandemic. .
