Making ripples

We had a walk to the village and then at the side of the pool. There were a lot of people there so we walked on the quieter muddy side. The Canada geese were zooming along and making plenty of ripples. it was sunny while we were out but we’ve had a few flurries of snow this afternoon. My sister was born in 1947 after the coldest winter in living memory. It was snowing regularly until April. I was reading that coal and food were in short supply just after the war. I should think myself lucky having a nice warm house and plenty to eat.
