A Bird In The Mouth

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Duke is spending his days here. The plan was that would mean I could work but really we need two of us here now as Penny’s condition is changing so rapidly.

He took Murphy for a walk this afternoon and Murphy went off the trail and wouldn’t come back when The Duke called him. Murphy’s recall is very good but with two exceptions - balls and food, and in the forest, it was only going to be the latter.

He lifted his head (cartoon style) as The Duke approached with two black feathers sticking out the sides of his mouth and quickly gulped them down before The Duke could get a hold of him.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to Orville surprise coming out the other end!
