Billabong

Actually it’s bibimbap but TSM (who is the modern day heir to Mrs Malaprop) has called it billabong so many times that we’ve given up and that is now the family name for the dish.

I do love a good malapropism. My favourite was reported to me by my brother who overheard a man ordering a glass of Camembert Sauvignon in a pub. 

For the record this dish is absolutely lovely and uses a Korean chilli paste called gochujang which is not easy to get but worth the trouble. It is fast becoming TSM’s signature dish. She has a way with the vegetables...
