Grey day

C's first day back at work and my first mainly alone with our girls. Given the back to school feeling we had hanging over us, it was fitting that the skies were grey and misty in sympathy. The day turned out to be better than expected, lightened by "pity"(pretty) flowers (crocuses), a "coa" (cold) walk in the Botanics, good friends and curious toddlers, warming soup and freshly baked apricot scones, just one tantrum when trying to leave the house -insisting on wearing "Eya's watch"; which is either lost or at Granny's and a cream egg. We also met our friends Holly, J and Henny for a few laps of the park resulting in all three babies being lulled to sleep. C arrived home, big smiles all round. We survived!
