God's Light vs. Man's Light

I was half-way out to the shore for the sunrise...when I ALMOST turned around. The sky was blanketed with clouds with nary a break in the cover. But, since I was already up, I kept going.

Good thing I did. There was a 10 minute window where the sky lit up, and then the clouds returned. 

Pamantha the pretty pelican was perched on the post. She is staring at the man light.

So, who wins the light contest?

When God's sun shines, it is hard to compete with...a celestial show-stopper. As for this man light, it is on a boat that is in a sad state of dis-repair...and probably hasn't worked for a long time.

Contest over. God wins, but the man light does provide good filler for my picture.
