50th birthday // 100 blips
Two milestones today - the first (and by far the most important) is my dad's 50th birthday! We had a lovely walk around Pollok Park then had an Indian feast for dinner, inishing off the evening with board games around the fire. It was such a great day and such a wonderful celebration of someone we love so dearly and who is such an incredibly important part of our family. I feel so lucky to have such a great dad, and such an amazing friend - we've had so many great times together with many more on the horizon. He said today that he's looking forward to being 50, as now his poor eyesight, bad back and fading memory seems a bit justified as he's officially "an old man" - I think he's only half joking! I felt so fortunate to have spent all 19 years of my life with such an incredible person and one who has so much love for this family <3
Second milestone is a smaller one - 100 blips! Time flies; when I started this journey on the 1st of January I didn't know if I would keep it going for a long time. I guess the fact that I've made it this far is a testament to how much I love it! Blipping has really opened up my eyes to the world and changed my way of thinking about the life surrounding me, so I'm very grateful to have it as part of my day-to-day. Here's to the next few hundred!
