Tortoiseshell
I thought it quite appropriate that, as I'd mentioned the other day, we were creating a wildflower meadow at the lodge, I would blip a butterfly while we were there today!
This small tortoiseshell was flitting about among the primulae. It had a lot of choice these plants do really well and have spread. It was one of the first I've seen this year and I think the cool temperature slowed it down a bit for me to do the shots. It snowed later.
