Hawes, Hardraw and Buttertubs
A trip not planned but planned for the future. Today we went out for a drive and ended up following a route I'm thinking of taking Matilda and her mates in August when I'm running a car meet.
We needed a comfort break when we neared Hawes but found the town itself quite busy. Amazingly the small cafe at the old train station was quiet and the car park WCs were very clean. The main image was taken as we waited outside for our drinks and amazing cake to be brought out.
Suitably refreshed my first extra was taken just north looking towards Hardraw. A typical scene throughout our drive.
Finally I have added a B&W image taken from a video I took with my phone mounted as a 'dash cam'. This was the main reason for the trip, Buttertubs, what I can only describe as a Top Gear road (sorry if you don't know the programme) and boy was it worth it!
I have added my video in a link. It has been edited to play at 4 times the speed, enjoy: Buttertubs
Now I remember why we moved to North Yorkshire...
