41 Gun Salute

Guernsey, like many other places honoured Prince Phillip with a 41 Gun Salute. The birds nesting in the castle area all took to the skies and flew in his honour too! It was quite moving and everyone there remembered him fondly and were thinking of the Queen. 

As well as marking Prince Philip's death, this will be a moment to remember his military service, active service in the World War Two and honorary commands for many decades after it.
