Litter Picking

This morning a number of us went litter picking locally. The Community Council is a Keep Scotland Beautiful hub and all the equipment is held by one of the members. The pickers, gloves, bags, sharps boxes and so on are borrowed quite regularly by individual community spirited people who do their bit to try to keep the area clean. This morning a rota was devised to allow people to pick litter either on their own or in households. The equipment was returned, sterilised and rested till it was safe for someone else to borrow it. There are several sets so it worked well. A bit like a relay race with sanitiser.

The blip is Cameraman in the brambles freeing all sorts of stuff that should be in the bin (and now is). A satisfactory morning. The extra shows some of the spoils.

The print, broadcast and digital media are consumed with the death of the DoE. It's a sad occasion for his family. I imagine that, were it not for covid, there would have been a lot more pomp. So many families have had to accept funerals that were not what they would otherwise have wished.

After lovely sunshine it now appears to be gently snowing. What's going on?
