Kiln Unloading

Today the gas kiln was cooled enough to open.
The anticipation is like Christmas morning! We get to see how the colours of the glazes change as they are mixed with each other (we must keep careful notes if we want to duplicate a certain effect again).
We beginners made imprint stamps in class.
One was a recessed stamp which makes a raised design on the clay;
the other a relief stamp which makes an indented design in the clay.
