Lunchtime walk

Very busy day but I've made it through. Now I can take a week off. Can't wait to get to the seaside with the dogs on Monday.

There have been a couple of real herons hanging around the duck pond this week. They've been quite active and look very prehistoric when they are flying around. The third swan is still in the field, eyeing up the pond but not being allowed anywhere near by the couple who have lived there for years. This has been the situation for months now. As the female is now spending her time in the nest, the male is left to keep guard.

Strange weather today. Hail then sun (on the walk) then hail again.

Nearly forgot to mention that, in today's news, Prince Philip has died. My daughters mentioned that they saw billboards announcing his death on their drive to outdoor spinning!
