Down by the river.

Along the Adda River again, this time upstream a few clicks from Vaprio between Trezzo on the right and Capriate on the left. This is one of the few places where the canal system from Lake Lecco to Milan takes a break. So, the walkers or bike riders follow the path on the right by the river or take a detour through Trezzo D'Adda.

The restaurant, Il Vigneto, on the lower left is wonderful but has been several years since I've eaten there.

The A4 Autostrada crosses here and just beyond where the smoke towers and a bit of a big castle/villa are sticking up is Crespi D'Adda which is a Unesco World Heritage Site for an old industrial company town started in the late 1800's and only recently closed for good in 2004.
