Sing

Watching and listening to this sweet Song Sparrow this morning made me think of The Carpenters:

Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad

We started our day with a breakfast picnic at the river, my first iced coffee of the season. Yum! It was mostly quiet on the water, although we spotted a large group of Mergansers and four Cormorants, all too far away for photos. The most spectacular sighting was a gathering of 13 juvenile Eagles. It started out with just three but more kept joining in. They were bunched together flying circles in the sky not far from us, but away from the water. We have no idea what caught their attention but after five minutes or so they slowly drifted apart.
