Ours Is An Ice House, Ours Is.

A new area to us, Ravelston Woods Nature Reserve, is on the site of old sandstone quarries, which supplied stone for, among others, the building of Heriot's Hospital in the C17. These were the lands of C18 Ravelston House, history tells of a large doocot and on old mid-C19 maps there appear two ice houses and a temple.
