Pulsatilla

Lovely in the sunshine but very chilly in the shade.
A subway trip out to the West End to meet up with younger niece Hazel .... haven't seen her for months so it was good to have a walk in the Botanic Gardens and catch up with all her news.

I love these Pulsatilla plants with their silky buds which open, firstly into a cup shape and as the flowers mature they develop into a star shape.
