Always A Surprise

These things always come out of the blue when least expected. As you get older you realise there is never a time when you just accept “they had a good innings.” My thoughts are with Her Majesty. Can’t imagine how it must feel to lose someone you’ve known forever.

This is as close as I ever came to meeting him, at the wedding of William & Kate.
